Resilient Maltese property market
The Central Bank of Malta noted an increase in the property prices in Malta, particularly in the last quarter of last year. It was remarked that prices increased by an average of 2.1% last year.
The rate of increase was not the same for all types of properties, maisonette prices increasing by 6.3%, apartments by 1.5% and other properties by 4%.
Statistics also showed a decrease in construction activity with the number of permits applied for and issued decreasing last year when compared to previous years.
